Small icebergs float on what remains of the lake at the base of Mt. Cavell. The lake, fed by melting snow and Angle glacier swells in the Spring and summer and shrinks in the fall as the outflow exceeds the inflow. It is not unusual to see icebergs stranded on the banks after cold weather moves in.
